Barry Christopher Howard

Barry Christopher Howard was born at Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Dale Harley and Margaret Catherine Howard.  He was married on September 7, 1991 to the former Amie Joan Palumbo, a native of Illinois, and the daughter of the late Anthony Joseph Palumbo and Joanne Kaye Sibigtroth MacDonald.  Barry and Amie reside in northern Maryland with their four children.

Barry holds an M.B.A. from
Johns Hopkins University, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Regis University where he graduated summa cum laude. For over twenty years, his career has been in the fiscal and operational non-profit sector.  He is the current Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at New America.  Previously he was the Chief Financial Officer at World Relief, where he worked for over eight years.

Barry is a member of the
City Tavern Club.  He is an Eagle Scout, classical guitarist, antiquarian book collector and dealer, Toastmaster, Honorary Kentucky Colonel, and competitive chess player.  Barry is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Delta Sigma Pi, as well as a member of Mensa, Intertel, Colloquy, and a former vice president of the Cerebrals Society.  He has traveled to sixty-two countries.

Barry serves in varying capacities on the boards of several humanitarian organizations, as well as historic and civic non-profit organizations.  In addition to his the avocational time he invests in the Society of the Cincinnati, Barry particularly enjoys his role as
a Trustee of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society in Gettysburg, PA.  He and his family reside in northern Maryland.
